What's the difference in performance between the Rossi 100's and the Spruce 2009 Pro Sport Risers & Release Bindings

Can you mount Rossi 100s without a riser?
The rossi 110s/pro primes are about 1lb 2oz lighter. They also have a slightly high DIN range for riders that weigh more than 230lbs. They come with brakes so you don't have to use leashes.

Those seem to all be positive is there anything negative about this style of binding in comparison to the spruce?
Did I guess wrong? :p I assumed you meant the Rossi 110s on the Spruce pro primes. My apologies if i misunderstood.
Isaac,
By "Rossi 100's", if you're referring to direct-mount releasable ski bindings, those won't work well on skiboards which utilize inserts for mounting either non-release bindings or the Spruce Riser/binding system.
It's confusing because some models of Spruce Risers utilize Rossignol bindings. The riser itself is simply an interface between the skiboard and the bindings.
Can you mount Rossi 100s without a riser?
Johnny,
You're a daisy if you do. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Seriously, in most cases, no. Revel8 and Spruce skiboards are not designed to accept direct-mounted bindings at all. However, Summit brand skiboards are, in fact some models come without inserts at all. Most riders agree that skiboards and longboards work best with the factory insert system, and are loathe to see "skiboards" made without them. Being relatively short, direct-mounting the bindings in skiboards will spoil the flex in the section covered by your ski boot, you might as well be riding on a 2x4.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess you were looking at the rossi 100's that someone is selling. If so they are on exclaim risers which are different then the spruce risers. If that's not the case just ignore this post.
