I finally got one of my snowboarder friends to convert to skiboarding. I took him to 7 springs for his first time at the slopes this weekend. Their park was shitty as normal: all ice, and no decent jumps. Heres a little clip of it.

yeah rollerblading helps alot i wish we had some nice low flat rails at my park all we have here are real short flat rails that are like 5 feet in the air which is fun but throwing switch ups is alot scarier

ok this is probably a dumb question, but the last time I roller bladed was bad in the early 90's when I played roller hockey on them. How the hell would you do a rail with them? Wouldn't the wheels pretty much prevent you from doing any sort of sliding whatsoever??

The one time I tried a rail on skiboards I hit the thing and my boards slid so fast in front of me I pretty much just bit it hard. I'm guessing it would be because I am intimidated by it and at the last second scrubbed off too much speed (although I wasn't poking along either)

I dunno.....I honestly should be satisfied with my improvements this year thus far but I'm never satisfied....lol

we're talking about aggressive rollerblading here....
the kind that grinds rails, rides skate parks, etc.
these aren't your classic joyride rollerblades =P

I knew that much....lol

Just wasn't sure how you did a rail, grind etc.

I'm guessing you catch it between the wheels??

The skates on there have grooves in the middle which I'm assuming is for rail slides, etc.. While that looks like lot of fun, I bet you can really fuck yourself up learning whereas on snow a fall doesn't normally result in turning yourself into a human hamburger...lol

sounds pretty gay, last year we had a pretty beginner style park with ride on everything and a few small tables then some cocky ass snowboards took it over and made it urban style everything to small jumps and huuuuuge tables and everything made to come from the side, which is pretty inconvienient for me. cuz im not that good. but i can get onto a gapped rail so i supose its a start
