Don't ride with your binding screws loose.
The screws might just rip clean out of the inserts and send your board down the slope without you.
So check them before you ride.

When you say rip out of the inserts, did they actually strip the threads, or did they just wiggle loose and come off.

Its not a nice feeling even if they stay attached - the movement of the binding is like riding with boots 3 sizes too big...

They actually ripped the threads off..

Ripped the threads off the screw or the insert?

Screws can be replaces. Inserts are definitely a bigger problem. I found my screws were loose a few weeks ago and headed inside taking a nice easy run on the way in to tighten them immediately.

Off the screw. I think the inserts will be ok, though not sure just yet.

And tightening them when they are cold will help as well. Thermal expansion is a brutal thing.

Yeah, sloppiness is no good when skiboarding. I had that happen once as well. I've never used loktite, but I do make sure to tighten everything down one the bindings are cold.

If you're unsure about the inserts, get yourself a simple tapping set and run an M6 bottoming tap down through each one. You should be able to get that stuff at a local hardware store. Just make sure it's the right thread.

Nah, it was my spruce risers. On my long skis.
And yea, I've already got a tap (used it when making the skis to clean some little bits of epoxy out) so I'll use that to clean it up if need be.

Um, not smart. I run a driver over my bindings (both release and non-release) before each day. The repair stands are right there. If you need an Allen then carry one. It takes 10 seconds to make sure you are safe. You have 10 seconds. I am very glad that you or no one else was injured. Very glad. Please be smart out there.
