SB1's Skiboarding Tips From the Pros -
Is a good basic video on boarding techniques. Even though I been skiboarding for 3 years or so I learned a few things from watching it. The video is very short, but covers the needed ground. As a bonus, they use much filler with clips and music from the original SB1, so you can get a taste of that video without buying it. The teachers are the stars of SB1, so you can hear them speak in their own words telling you how they do what they do. Highly recommended for beginners to lower intermediates, especially ones that do not ride fakie and wish to learn, as there is a good section on riding backwards. Just touches on some basic tricks, but leaves the meat of the material for the next video I reviewed. If your an expert, probably not much in this video for you.
FIF Presents Trix Tips Vol. 1 -
Don't know why they called it Vol. 1 since it is very comprehensive and do not know what else could be added if there was a Vol 2? This tape is much longer in length than "Tips from the Pros" and is for the expert or expert wannabe looking for big air tricks, rail and pipe riding. Not much in it for me, except the hope of riding small rails or doing a 360 after I can land 180's well. If you are mainly a trail rider like myself, it is still fun to watch and you might pick up something that will help with your boarding as they discuss aspects of balance that apply to all riders. Anyway, there is much room to grow for you in this tape since it covers spins all the way up to 720's and everything in between. Beautiful videos and high quality production with much time spent on rail riding styles. Very highly recommend if you are into this type of aggressive riding.
