So, who and where are all of the skaters here? Especially the northeast (because you are close enough to skate with). But, of course much love to all of the skaters around the globe.

Wrong side of the continent here. I'm in British Colombia.

Well, I skate, for fitness, does that count? ;)

If it weren't for blades, I would have never found skiboards. I love my blades, I go out as often as I can, 3-4 times a week. It's finally warm enough down here to get back out there.

I <3 blading.

Of course it counts. Skating is skating. I love skating from spot to spot that I hit and not driving.

browse the forums over there, read up on different skates.
I'd recommend a helmet and wrist protectors for when you are first starting. I fell A LOT on my hands (still do) probably would have broken something if it wasnt for my gear.

Roussell (I hope I spelled that correctly bro) has a pair of 8.5 skates for sale.

Gear, I just wear jeans and a tee.

Dave, let's plan a meet and do some filming. You have a Go Pro right?

I just took out 2 wheels on each of my normal inline skates and was doing our 12 foot 2 p rail with my little brother who is better than me. He owns aggressive skates but snowboards lol. He also wood pushes sometimes. Im looking to buy some USD 100 team realms for 100 bucks soon

Yeah, a meet is a great idea. Yup, I do have a GoPro.

On the topic of protection gear, wrist guards are really nice. I've got one left that I haven't chewed through right now (I usually only use them on my right hand, and that's all I've got left too). Now that I'm finally going bigger ,I've dug out my helmet to use again. I've been thinking of grabbing some other pads, but haven't yet. It's never a bad idea.

I used to skate a lot at Hackettstown Skate Park in NJ. There's an outdoor park I've won a few comps at near Shawnee Mtn called Starting Gate Skate Park.

To start, I'd probably base it mostly on looks/price, eventually you'll get a bit of a personal preference. The Razor Cult B's are what I've heard thrown around most for people looking to get into it. A friend of mine got them, but hasn't been out too much.

A lot of my old vids were lost. The best one, that had Art and I on it, was lost tragically when the skater who had it at the time accidentally shot himself. What I do have are some VHS vids. Anyone have the resources to convert?
