Mont St. Bruno Jam & Competition, Feb. 8th & 9th, 2003

Saturday Skiboarders from all over the Northeast came together for a Skiboard Big Air competition and Park Jam at Mont St. Bruno. The weather was superb and all the competitors performed well. Ben Wannamaker came away with the rider judged Big Air prize with consistent and styled 540's. The days favorite for the prize, Mike Wass, was unexpectedly injured during warm ups and had to miss both days of riding. Word has it he's feeling better and will be back soon. Second and Third place were grabbed by Kevin Boate and Bailey Mitchell of Ottowa. Look for new riders Jason Roussel and Vincent to be making their marks soon. After the Big Air comp. Alex from Quebec put on a rail clinic with super tech rail slides, while Ben Wannamaker filmed for his upcoming skiboard film: W**** *****

Sunday brought Mike, Ben, Bailey, Kevin and myself (Greco) to Mont Tremblant for a Skiboard Jam. Mike was still hurt so he had to chill in the lodge and Ben got "hurt" the night before in a local Montreal gentleman's club so he could only guard the bathroom but Bailey and Kevin tore up the rails in Tremblant's park and even attacked the giant checkerboard wall at the bottom. Look for good things from this duo in the future.

Thanks to Canon Skiboards and the International Skiboard Federation for a great event and a super fun time. We hope to see you all at the next event, wherever it may be.
