We were at Alta and Solitude this past April and I'm eager to get back there. Especially Alta. In my experience, a superpass on the day works fine, most hotels sell them day by day, this way you are not locked for a specific day on a specific resort. Though, it might be tough to ignore a great deal on a specific day even if it has to be locked-in well in advance...

April was warm, even though we had close to 2 feet of snow during our stay. We had absolutely no issues driving up the canyon with all-season tires on a front wheel drive rental car. But mid-winter it might be different, so winter tires on a 4x4 might be best... I did not like the idea of waiting for the shuttle buss, having your own car seemed a lot more convenient.

Thinking about it... My whole family liked it a lot last time we visited, so I think it won't be hard to convince them to come again. We usually have some hotel points to stay for free, which helps. Checking with the "authorities" and some other friends right now to see what's what...

That would be great! I think Wookie at one point said he was considering it as well. East Coast riders report!

Looks like it would be about $400 per person for the plane ticket. A bit steeper than expected... Will keep you posted. We might alternatively opt to do a late season trip out West again, like we did last year, for when the local snow is gone on the East Coast.

Depending on how long it would take you to get to Newark, they have the best prices right now on SLC flights - you can get them for $274. A couple of weeks ago, you could get to SLC for those dates from Philadelphia for around $300, but those prices are up near $400 now also.

And $257 out of JFK if you travel Wednesday to Tuesday. . . and Non-stop flights to boot!

We definitely need you Jammers to join us at Westfest. Last year we had a dedicated Spruce day and all rocked our longboards. This year we could have a Jr Ski Day

That's more palatable than $400, but by the time I get there and back I will be out something like $60 for gas and tolls, plus whatever parking costs at JFK, and the 4 hours drive each way does not help... But for those closer, it seems like a more affordable option.

I will probably decide at the last moment, so I can't really say one way or another right now.

I do like the look of the Line Bacons.

Only a little jest, we have had dedicated days before and really enjoyed them. One of the best was the Blunt day we had at Shredfest a few years ago. We had a dozen of us riding around Alpine Meadows on our shorties, it was a blast.

Nice! From the specs, it looks very promising. Found some info here: http://www.getboards.com/line-sir-fr...FcImhgodu_EA4A

How long are yours? The 145cm might be a good length although it does list a 14m turn radius for the 155, I wonder what the radius for the 145 is...

I have the 145's. Jeff measured them to have approximately 11.5m turn radius. See this link for the full discussion: https://www.skiboardsonline.com/foru...+Francis+bacon
